What is a good mp3 car kit for a 2004 scion xa?

I have a 2004 scion xA and I want to make it mp3/ipod compatible. What is a good mp3 car kit or what is a good ALTERNATIVE to a car kit? My car does NOT have a tape player or an auxilary jack. It only has a cd player and radio. I don't want a FM transmitter cause those things suck! I wasted money on them and can't even listen to one song without the annoying static.

Also, I have NO idea how to install an mp3 car kit. What are the steps?
