I am about to buy my first new car. I never look at new cars, so i don't really know what's out there right now, but these ones are appealing. I need lots of room for a dog and band equipment. I want decent factory stereo with iPod connection. I would like it to have a high green score. What do you think I should get?

Sorry, I wouldn't want any of them. Kinda like being with a fat girl; a lot of fun but you don't want your friends to see you on her!

“I” would drive a Honda Fit Sport. As a matter of fact, I DO drive the Fit Sport. Beware my answer is biased, as I have been driving it a little over a year. I needed a car that had cargo room like an SUV, but have always found driving pick-up trucks and SUVs frightful.

I have been using it every week on both the highways and regular roads, 45 miles one-way trip. I love my car. The longer I have had it, the more glad I feel that I got it. It handles great and feels like a go-cart. It is really roomy. I love the fact that you have the option of putting down half of the rear seat to fit a large snowboard and several big luggages and still have room for two or three other passengers. Or you can put down the entire rear seat.

I would go to the dealers and take a look at all three cars before making your own personal decision. Make the sales person show you all the bells and whistles and go for a test drive.

When you have decided on your car and ready to buy, go to your bank or a credit union to see what loan rate they are offering. You can also apply online at other banks. Then when you are with the dealer's financing rep, see what the dealer's loan rate is. Usually the dealer will try to match the bank's offer to get you to borrow from them.

Subaru. But that is mainly because my dog is the size of a pony and won't fit well in either of the other 2. Plus, I loathe scions. The remind me of those karts at the super markets for kids that are shaped like boxy cars.
